| Maple-Orange
Granola
Makes about 12 cups.
Dry Ingredients
6 cups old-fashioned oats (not quick-cooking or instant)
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 cup toasted (unsalted, unflavored) soy nuts
2-3 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup dried orange peel
Wet ingredients
1/3 cup canola oil
2/3 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon orange flavor (we use Simply Organic brand)
Preheat oven to 275° F. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
In a 4-cup measure, combine wet ingredients. Add wet ingredients to dry.
Stir to combine thoroughly. Transfer to a 9" by 13" pan. Bake
at 275° F. for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.
